How to play/stay together when we are not able to meet anymore?
In this new series created for The Corona Diaries (link below), I record solo pieces while listening to other musicians/partners/friends solos through headphones. The result are solo pieces with a structure inspired by another musician's; it is as if the other musician is whispering to me what to play in realtime. His/her solo piece becomes a score to interpret.
I do not try to mimic the music i am listening to but rather to play with another musician's pace and sensibility.
It is both an homage and a an open letter to a close musician that I cannot meet for the time being.

This video was recorded while listening to Tony Buck's "Tidal" (a solo piece made for the occasion).
